Decade: 1940s

Many people would probably debate when the golden age of illustration and advertising was. No matter where you stand on the issue, however, it would be hard to argue against the 1940s as a major contender. Filled with rich palettes, beautiful artwork, quirky design elements, and gorgeous photography, never did advertising look this sumptuous. It's no wonder that amongst vintage ad collectors, this decade is one of the most popular to collect!
